  1. Principles of Personal Information Collection Groupket collects information based on the following principles to protect members' personal information while providing appropriate services:
  • Groupket requests only the minimum information necessary for users to effectively use its services.
  • Each member's personal information is managed directly by the individual.
  • Groupket does not disclose members’ personal information except in exceptional circumstances (e.g., legal requests from government agencies).
  • To prevent misuse for commercial or political purposes and protect personal privacy, only essential information is collected.

2 . Personal Information Requested from Members To use various Groupket Space services, the following basic required fields must be entered on the sign-in screen. All other fields are optional. Groupket does not deny basic service based on refusal to fill in optional fields.

Required Information:

  • ID (Username)
  • Password
  • Name
  • Email Address

Groupket does not collect personal information that may significantly infringe on users’ fundamental rights, such as:

  • Race and ethnicity
  • Ideology and beliefs
  • Place of origin and registered domicile
  • Political orientation and criminal records
  • Health status and sexual life
  1. Consent to Collection and Collection Methods During sign-in, users can choose [Agree] or [Disagree] regarding Groupket’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Clicking [Agree] is considered consent to collect personal information based on the registration form.

  2. Purpose of Personal Information Collection and Use The personal information collected by Groupket is used for the following purposes:

  • Fulfillment of service contracts with members
  • Provision of Groupket services
  • Providing information on new services or events
  1. Use Beyond Purpose and Third-Party Sharing Groupket does not share personal information without individual member consent. However, exceptions may apply under the following circumstances in accordance with relevant laws:
  • When required by laws such as the Real Name Financial Transactions Act, Credit Information Act, Telecommunications Business Act, Consumer Protection Act, etc.
  • When necessary for billing related to service usage
  • When required for service provision by partner companies (e.g., shipping), Groupket will request explicit consent from members before sharing any information.
  1. Viewing, Editing, Updating, and Withdrawing Personal Information Groupket members can view, edit, and update their personal information at any time. This can be done:
  • Directly via the [Edit Profile] section on service pages
  • By requesting changes via email to the Personal Information Manager

Members can also withdraw from Groupket by using the [Unregister] option on the service page.

  1. Measures for Protecting Personal Information Groupket implements the following technical measures to protect personal data:
  • Security systems using passwords
  • Antivirus software to prevent computer viruses
  • Secure transmission using encryption algorithms
  • Firewall and access control systems
  • Other necessary technical safeguards

Administrative measures include:

  • Establishment and implementation of access and management procedures
  • User account control for systems handling personal data and periodic password changes
  • Limiting access to personal information handlers to a minimum

However, please note: your personal information is essentially protected by the password associated with your ID. Managing this password is the member’s responsibility, as stated in the Groupket Terms of Use. We recommend:

  • Use a combination of letters and numbers
  • Avoid using personal information like national ID numbers or phone numbers
  • Change your password regularly
  • Always log out and close the browser after using Groupket on shared or public computers, as remaining logged in may expose your data to others.

Groupket does its best to protect your information but is not responsible for damages caused by user negligence or general internet risks.

  1. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information Groupket retains your personal information from the registration date until withdrawal to provide services. If a user withdraws, personal information may still be retained in the following cases:
  • If required by law (e.g., Commercial Act)
  • If previously informed and agreed upon by the user
  • For handling disputes, financial settlements, or delivery confirmations

In such cases, the access and use of the data are strictly limited to those specific purposes. If further retention is necessary, we will notify users and obtain consent. After achieving the purpose of collection, Groupket destroys the data using irrecoverable technical methods.

  1. Use of Cookies Cookies are small amounts of information sent from a web server to the user's computer. They may include information about the websites visited and personal settings. While cookies identify the browser, they do not personally identify users.

Users can configure their browsers to accept or reject cookies. Groupket uses cookies to:

  • Simplify authentication
  • Understand user size, usage frequency, and interests
  • Provide higher-quality services based on cookie data
  1. Other Information Groupket strives to create a healthy internet environment. We may monitor posts to identify inappropriate content or harmful behavior. Only a very limited number of authorized staff can manage member data, and we do our utmost to protect it.
